Today I did the initial STP-configuration on both edge- and core-switches. This is highly relevant regarding what paths should be used between the switches, since you always want the shortest/fastest route.
For now, it’s a really simple setup; all VLANs is in one MSTP-instance, and nothing fancy. When IP-routing is in place, and everything is up and running, I’m thinking of tweaking the STP-setup a bit — use several instances, so that different VLANs has different paths. We’ll see; it depends on how saturated the links becomes.
